Walking on sunshine~
A nice walk to remember
When I'm asked to write about a walk I remember, immediately came to my mind the one I did in March, during my last days of vacations. I climbed up the Santa Lucia's hill because this is a place full of history since it was there where Pedro de Valdivia (Spanish conquer) decided to found Santiago (current Chile's capital), transforming the hill in a fort in order to protect spanish people from mapuche attacks.

Returning to the point, I visited this place because of his historicity. Since this place still maintains mayors structures from the spanish fort, I wanted to go across it. The particularity of this place, beside being a fort, is that at the beginning of past century (s.XX) Benjamin Vicuña Mackena decided to transform this place into a touristic site, building a landscape that is the characteristic view you can see today if you decide to go. This last fact made posible the access to the fort, since the project built roads who made more comfortable to climb up the hill.

It was a wonderful experience since I could appreciate spanish architecture accompanied by my friend and learn more about chilean history. We also had a magnificent view of Santiago City (it was a perfect sunny summer day).
That's all for today~
Have a nice weekend~
There is a lot of place in Santiago with Histiory that I don´t kwon anyhing about them. This degree open my eyes. And give me other point of view. Now I see the bulding, object and the people in a different way.
